KICTeam's Approach to Compliance

As a global company, KICTeam is continually evaluating all of our cleaning products and packaging to ensure compliance with ever changing regulations and directives of OSHA, EPA, California Prop 65, VOC compliance, transportation ordinances, ECHA, REACH and GHS among others. We are committed to keeping you informed on global, regional and state compliance regulations and their effect on you.

GHS is the Globally Harmonized System of Classification & Labeling of Chemicals, a system created by the United Nations and the International Labor Organization for worldwide standardization of the classification, documentation and labeling of chemicals for more consistent and easily understood communication. To date, over 65 countries have adopted GHS or are in the process of implementing the regulations. Timelines for adoption vary widely with some countries already fully implemented while others are near to full compliance.

Under the GHS format, labels and safety data sheets for any hazardous substances will include signal words, pictograms, hazard statements, precautionary statements and the contact information for the chemical supplier.

What is GHS?

Until recently, chemical labels were regulated by standards created by individual nations. With international adherence to the new standards, the expected GHS benefits include unified global communication, enhanced employee and environmental protection, improved international trade, reduced costs and reduction in the need for duplicate testing and evaluation.
